As a Bank Care Worker, we require you to: –
Deliver person-centred care to the residents to ensure that their physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs are met and ensuring dignity, choice, independence and respect.
Consult with residents and the Senior team to assist in developing individual care plans for residents
Be flexible about working hours
Be approachable and supportive to staff and managers
Be able to communicate and interact well with people
Be literate and numerate
Be able to work well as part of a team
Demonstrate a willingness to undertake training to achieve NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent
Demonstrate an empathy and understanding of the needs of older people
It would be desirable that you have:
Experience in a similar role within a health or social care setting
A relevant NVQ Level 2 qualifications or equivalent
Previously worked in services for old people with dementia
Evidence of continuing training and development
As a Bank Kitchen Assistant, we will require you to: –
To maintain the high standards of hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas as per the cleaning schedules.
To assist in the serving of all meals in accordance with the varying needs of the Residents.
To prepare and serve teas according to the set menu, or following instructions from the Chef or Senior Care Worker on any special dietary requirements
To assist, under instruction from the Chef, in the management of stock rotation
To be responsible for ensuring all Health and Safety regulations and other Society policies and procedures are adhered to.
To attend training events and staff meetings as required.
To immediately report all accidents to the Chef or Senior Member of staff on duty.
To respect the confidential nature of personal information.
To complete any other task as directed by the Chef/ Relief Chef, Senior Care Worker or Registered/Deputy Care Home Manager.
As a Domestic Worker we require you to: –
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Care Home
To clean and maintain the cleanliness of all public areas, including corridors, stairs and all bathrooms and toilets
To clean and maintain the cleanliness of the individual Resident’s rooms including en-suite facilities
To provide assistance in bed making as required
To operate and maintain cleanliness of all mechanical cleaning aids in accordance with the operating instructions
To ensure that all cleaning materials and equipment are correctly used and stored safely when not in use
To work in co-operation with all other staff members and Volunteers
To respect the confidential nature of personal information
Essential Requirement: –
Demonstrate an empathy and understanding of the needs of older people
